Very thick, slightly wavy & curly hair...?

...that takes me about an hour to straighten. I love it straightened but I realize it's not something I should be doing everyday. What is the best product for keeping in curls: a certain mousse? a gel? I use Frutis' line for mousse but it's not doing the trick anymore.

having very thinck curly hair myself, when i decide to curl it i use friz-ez smoother (like those frizz take-awayers) and then a combination of pantiene pro-v curling moose and suave hairspray. It's really really good and doesn't make your hair all hard and scrunchy unless you want it to. I've suggested it to several of my friends and now they use the combination too. It also keeps it from getting really big.

i use herbal essence mousse and spray just a little bit of hairspray

A weightless mousse...and weightless is important! Anyone will do, but Dove has a good one.

Fructis is really shitty. I don't know why anyone uses it. It really is honestly better to go with the more expensive brand, like Redken, BedHead, or Nexus even. It'll be more pricey, but you'll get what you're paying for. To reduce frizz and keep curls tighter, you could also wrap your hair in a cotton jersey t-shirt instead of a towel.

The best stuff I've found for keeping hair beautiful and curly is "Sexy Curls" shampoo and Bedhead's curl defining creme. The creme separates each curl and it looks awesome. It's AMAZING. I have wavy/curly/frizzy hair and I always thought it would be like that, but I coughed up the 15 bucks for the stuff and it does wonders.

I also like Frutis's Curl Defining stuff (it's also a creme). But sometimes it causes my curls to go flat because it's so heavy.

I use Biosilk Silk therapy serum.

It's fairly expensive at $90.00 for a 34oz bottle, but a little goes a long way. I use the size of a half dollar for my hair, I apply it when it's wet, towel dryed of course and I let it airdry overnight. nice beautiful ringlets without the weighed down sticky or hard feeling mouse or gel makes it.

Here's my hair. http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n275/...
