Your hair needs to have some natural wave in order for srunching to really work. After you wash your hair, towel dry it a little bit and then work a curl inhancing mouse in. After that scrunch your hair a bit and either allow it to air dry or dry it a little more with a hair dryer that has a defuser attached to the end.

a girl on my bus with straight asian hair (like me lol) used this pantene product, idk what it's called but look for it at the store. you take a bath/shower, towel dry hair, spray it in your hair, scrunch your hair up, and it'll curl. then if you brush it out a bit when it starts curling, it'll just be wavy.

good luck!

after you have washed it, put your hair in braids. Not just 1 but lots of them. Let it dry. After to take them down, you'll have wavey hair.
