Only if you style the waves out. I have my hair cut in a frame, and I have wavy hair. The only way you can see the cut is if you use a curling brush dryer. Just keep rolling the hair arount it, holding it at an up and down angle at the sides of the face, rolling it under, not out. This will straighten it and pull the framing around your face. It takes awhile to get used to it, but you'll love it once you do.
Also, use a conditioner like Thermasilk. It will not only protect your hair from the heat, but the heat will activate the conditioner and your hair will be amazingly soft and shiny! Especially if you use an ionic dryer brush.
