My hair is naturally straight,it has just the teeniest amount of any kind of wave to it.And I mean a tiny amount. :)

Take a shower at night, add a little gel, braid your hair in 3 french braids before bed, then take the braids out, and your hair should look like that. If the curls are a little wet still, take a COLD hairdryer to them. Add some hairspray.

It works for me, and it sounds like our hair is pretty similar, though it sounds like I have more natural wave. But I have gotten my hair to look like the girl's in the picture!

but try a mouse after a shower(damp hair)

and then use a diffuser( it should bring out any and all wave/curl you have)

spray a light hair spray all around(dove non aerosol is great)

tease it if you want more volume, but with caution if you have thin hair

I have pretty straight hair myself. Short of perming it and praying it turns out okay, you're probably out of luck. My only other suggestion would be putting your wet hair in braids and letting them air dry. If you try this, you probably need to do several braids to get the waves all the way up your head. Also, I would use scrunchies or something soft to secure the braids so you don't end up with weird crimp marks at the end.

There is a couple of ways!

1. You could wash your hair and when you get out of the shower put in some curl-enhancing products and braid/plait in two. When you wake up in the morning (or you could do them in the morning and take them out at night for a party or something) and you will have beautiful waves!!

2. You can hop out of the shower and apply some curl enhancing mouse/gel and blowdry your hair with a diffuser or if you don't have one scrunch your hair while using a normal blowdrier.

3. You can always use a normal curling iron to help you curl sections of your hair.

4. Make sure you use a proper shampoo and conditioner to help with volume/frizz control.
